Christmas Week

It was so nice to have mom and dad here for Christmas this year. They came up for dad's knee appointment and then stayed until after Christmas. Brett came up for a ski day on the 21st and we had already invited Rachel and Dean up for a dinner that night ......so he got to be there with the older twins as well. Powell left on the 22nd and was gone until Christmas evening. He made it to the breakfast (which was really at 4) with the Van Wagoner side. Christmas was on a Sunday so we went to an hour sacrament meeting program. Hunter played his violin and I played the piano.  My favorite part about Christmas is spending time together afterwards....playing games, watching movies, staying in p.j.s and playing with our new toys.
Hansen has been annoyed with my tree for several years now because there isn't a star on the top. So when he came to the party, he got some paper and cut out a star. Then Dean put Hansen on his shoulders and climbed up my ladder to put the star on the tree. LOL. That Hansen!
Kolton followed up by making a paper ornament. You can see it underneath his hand and taped on the tree with orange tape.
They had their ski day at Sundance Resort. Powell hadn't skied in over 20 years so I was so glad he joined Brett, Hunter, Madi and Saige.
Look at the view behind them.
Who's he talking too!
This little beauty had a slight fever and a cold during the party. Luckily she was better by Christmas.
We had soups and bread for dinner
Rachel and Dean organized the "Right, Left Game". This version was fun because it was the Nativity Story and included songs as well.
Brett is really into the singing portion of the game
There is some serious concentration going on here

Thanksgiving in Circleville

It was so nice to have Thanksgiving at Brett and Natalie's house in Circleville. They worked so hard to make it nice for everyone. We had comfortable beds to sleep, the food was delicious and we had lots of fun.
Evidently I bought a new "fruity" toothpaste and the kids were brushing their teeth 3-4 times every night.
Some pool action
Look how big Emmi is smiling!
Brett did Turkey and tri-tip. Hunter made a big announcement to everyone to say, "This is by far the best Turkey I've ever tasted"....It was really Tri-tip. Ha Ha
Ya we are those people......the ones who brought their dog.
I brought some easy crafts for the kids
I also brought a thanksgiving bingo
Jett liked Circleville
These two are good buddies

Dairy Tour in Circleville

While we were at Brett and Nats for Thanksgiving we went to see the farm where Brett works. It was fascinating to see how dairy runs compared to the way we did it growing up. . It was fun to see where Brett works and to see him in his element. Brinley is the one who loves the Dairy the most!

Brett stopped to do a little lab work.

I think they might need to upgrade the lounge area sometime soon! LOL
