Growing Up!
All my kiddo's are growing up waaaaaaay too fast!
Mckenna is 2 months old now and changing so fast. She is 11 lbs and starting to sleep longer at night.....hurray! I'm holding my breath but last night she slept 7 hours. She smiles and coos and is such a good baby. She has new little dark hairs coming in. I wondered if her hair would change to blond (like Brinley's did) but now I think it is going to stay dark.
Oh Brinley........what can I say. She is by far my biggest challenge right now. I forgot just how great tantrums can be!!!! She turned 3 in September so hopefully things will start improving soon. I love her so much but she can be soooooooo hard. She is head strong and demanding but also a lot of fun. We love to watch her with her dolls and stuffed animals. She is obsessed with Dora and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She still LOVES pink and wants a pink princess tent for Christmas.
Hunter will be 8 in March and his dream right now is to go to the Bon Jovi concert and give John Bon Jovi a high five. Too bad we don't make enough money for front row seats. He has been spending a lot of his free time writing rock songs. He has written about 10......including "Bad Water" and "True Love". He is really into it! He wants an electric guitar and has named his band "Brass Metal". He is looking for a drummer and someone who can play the keyboard if anyone is interested. He is still taking violin and wants to play football at the U or BYU depending on who is playing the best at the moment. LOL! He is extremely creative and artistic. I love my only boy!
This is my beautiful 10 year old that looks and acts like she is 13. She is doing a fabulous job keeping up in her all day gifted class this year. I am amazed by her many abilities. She is extremely talented on the piano and is playing the violin in her school orchestra. She is on the swim team but her favorite sport is softball. Just like Hunter, she is really artistic. She draws and writes really well. Savannah loves listening to her ipod and talks and acts WAY to old. She is a good girl and has lots of friends. I just really enjoy being with her and I hope she will keep wanting to spend time with me. This year we really had a good time going shopping for black Friday. She is a great shopping partner! I think she loves good deals just like her mom!

Newborn Pictures

We are so glad Jenny Rowser was able to take such cute pictures of Mckenna. She has been such a sleepy newborn.....so much to our surprise she decided NOT to go to sleep for the pictures! It took over an hour to get her to sleep and she pooped about 5 times while we were there. Crazy girl. I'm just glad that Jen was so patient so we could have some newborn picture's.

The New Arrival!
Our sweet baby girl, Mckenna, was born September 26, 2010. She weighed 7 lb.s 7 oz. and was 19 inches long. After a long and difficult pregnancy we were so happy to have her arrive safely. Soon after she was born she started having trouble breathing and spent 5 days in the NICU. She is doing great now and is such a doll. We love her so much and can't imagine life without her!
Holding my baby for the first time.....I know I'm ugly when I cry!
Little Mckenna with her CPAP on.....her and Grandpa Remund have something in common!
This is Phil, the respiratory therapist that took SUCH good care of Mckenna. He stood by her side for over 24 hours and fought to keep her from being transferred to a bigger hospital.
This is Mckenna getting ready to be discharged, being held by her Grandma Carrie.
Ready for the ride home!
Savannah and Hunter came to see the baby, but could only peek in the window. They found some fun snooping around in some cupboards in my room.

First Day of School!
Savannah and Hunter are both at new schools this year so they were both nervous and apprehensive this morning. This is also the first year they ride the bus so we were all running around trying to figure out how the routine will go. Hunter's bus comes at 8:21 and Savannah's bus comes at 8:42 and they have about a 10 minute walk to the bus stop. We ended up driving them so we could have some extra time to take picture's. I think in the future we will have them ride their bikes and lock them to the pole next to the bus stop.
Hunter is never afraid to talk to new people. Here he is chatting with his new bus stop friends!
He wished he could wear his wallet with the chain and his Tony Hawk hat but those are not approved at his school.....thank goodness!
I asked Hunter to lay out his clothes and this is what Powell found when he went to tuck Hunter in last night!!!!
Savannah in her "skinny jeans".....don't know if I will ever like them but I love her and she is beautiful and so grown up! She didn't let us hang out at the bus stop to take picture's. We are her parents you know!

Summer Fun
Powell and the kids went to Deer Creek with Grandpa, Tom and Kelsi. They had such a great time. I wasn't feeling up to going and didn't want to bounce around in a boat.

Brinley is going to be rich!
Sometimes Brinley will bring over books from the bookcase and read them to her puppy. Its fun to sit and listen to the stories she makes up as she (very convincingly) turns the pages and holds the book. Well tonight, she brought over the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" and read it to her puppy. If she keeps that up she'll retire a multi-millionaire in her 30s.

Landscaping has STARTED
We decided to start landscaping our yard. Darren Thacker (Jessica's cousin) is a landscape architect in Denver, and agreed to draw us up a plan for our one acre lot. He said he'd do it in exchange for a couple of rounds of golf, but we had no idea how much work he would put into the plan. Anyway, the (almost) final plan looks awesome, so we hired Russ Witt to start grading the dirt. Well, he brought in a huge trackhoe, and has really done a nice job so far!

We were worried that we would have to bring in a bunch of (expensive) fill dirt for berms, and to fill in the low spots. Well, Russ was able to find a bunch of dirt in the back yard, and bring them to the front for us!
