Things change....

All of us experience change in our lives. Change is the one constant we have. There are changes that we look forward to and changes that we fear. However, one thing is for sure. Things will not stay the same no matter how much we would like them too. When a change occurs, we have two choices in how to respond. We can despair that a change has come and assume that things will be worse, or we can look with excitement at the new possibilities that the change presents.

Feeling emotional about the changes that are taking place but I will rejoice FOREVER in the memories made, the lessons learned, the service rendered, the examples of hard work, industry and perseverance. I wish I could give my own kids the upbringing I had on the farm.....there is nothing like it.

Brett showed the kids where he used to play in one of the barns this summer while he was visiting.

We had a walk around the farm property to see the changes dad has been making.

Kelsi and Tom

I can't believe we had so many issues while Kelsi and Tom were here. My kids got the stomach flu and Mckenna was so sick for six days. We finally had to take her to the ER for an iv. That changed a bunch of our plans. Then Brin had the firework burn as well. I feel bad but there wasn't a lot I could do. Anyway, here are a few pictures of some of the things we were able to do while Kelsi was here.
These two became little friends and I'm super excited about it. Wahoo! Now I know who gets to go to Des Moines with me next time on a little trip.

24th of July
Ali was visiting
Tammy was here from Florida

I love it when Kelsi comes because she always wants to have tinfoil dinners in the fire.

Our time together is never complete without a trip to the South Summit Rec Center

We hadn't been to the zoo in a few years. It was a good time but it will be much better next year when all the renovations are complete.
Mckenna was still recovering from the stomach flu. Poor girl still looks pale and a little puffy.

Brinley and her Buddy Hansen

These two cousins are the best of friends. They are two years apart and a different gender but that doesn't matter. Sometimes Brinley has problems when friends come over with getting along but that rarely happens when her and Hansenman are together. I just love it! Rachel took Brinley overnight and they had tons of fun. All I can say is that when she got home she was EXHAUSTED! I think they played hard.
Brinley told me when she got home that she wished we could keep our same house but just trade yards with Hansen. I think this must be the reason.....Dean's treehouse.
Some water fight fun with the neighbor kids.
Rachel took them to this splash pad in Riverdale.

I just love this picture so much. I wonder what they are talking about.

Kangaroo Zoo

You can tell it was a blast!

A visit from my favorite sets of twins and their mama!

We were soooooo excited to have Madi and Saige stay with us for a few days. I hardly took any pictures while they were here but I will post those as soon as I figure out how to get them off my phone. Anyway, after they were here they went to Circleville and then Natalie brought them back to Heber (along with Dalton and Sydney) for a family reunion. Unfortunately, Natalie's Grandma died unexpectedly so they cancelled the reunion. We were glad to see them for a little more time. We had dinner together and let all the cousins play together. I just can't get over how much fun they have. I love it!

Couldn't get one of all of them looking but here is the group....we are missing Charli
Might as well do crazy faces.
I told them to dance when they were finished.

We always love it when Rachel can come from Ogden.
I love their faces while they are doing ring around the rosies.
This handsome guy was entertained by throwing rocks into the wheel barrow and listening to them clank. He is such a boy!
Miss Saige can throw the football better than about anyone I know!
It isn't very often that I get a picture of Nat but we were glad to see her!
Looks like grandpa is watching them and breaking some rules.....riding in the road? Really?
