Pre-School Graduation for Mckenna Bear

I can't believe my baby graduated from pre-school. Honestly, I don't know what I will do with her going to school every day. She is such a pleasure to have around. She wakes up happy (unless she wakes up too early!) and is easy to please. We enjoy spending time together even if I'm just doing housework or cooking. She loves to play board games and is learning to read. She does gymnastics and soccer. I love this little girl so much. We loved her program and were shocked at how animated she was on stage! I took more than enough pictures because I had to capture all of her expressions.

She was the cutest little dancer
When I grow up I want to be a vet!

We were so glad Grandma was there!

Spring Break Part 3- 2016

We stayed at the Sheraton and enjoyed the swimming pool on the sunny days. There is a world famous museum that is called MIM or "Musical Instrument Museum". I went back and forth about whether we should go or not because it is really expensive. Finally Powell and I decided that I would take the two older kids to the museum and Powell would take the younger kids to a trampoline place. I feel bad that Powell didn't go because the museum was seriously so amazing. The other thing we did was we went to the Wells Fargo Museum and the Police Museum. These are both free and super fun places so spend a few hours. The last place we went and checked out was "Hole in the Rock". It is a short hike with beautiful views.
Hole in the Rock
There were a lot of displays at the Wells Fargo Museum on the Wild West.
So at the Musical Instrument Museum you wear a head set and walk around listening to music from different parts of the world. Each display plays 3 to 5 songs from that country. There was also an area of pop music stars over the years.
The gardens outside the museum
So you can see the name of the country and then the display of various instruments and a video.
So this is an example of the music that would come into the headset. They were maybe 30 seconds of each song.
Police Museum
I loved this old time police car!

And my favorite part.....

Spring Break Part 2-2016

I did my usual tripadvisor planning....it seriously gets me through the long winters.....and I planned lots of stops along the way on the trip from Hurricane to Phoenix. We invited mom and dad to come part of the way down with us. They stayed with us to see Lee's Ferry at the Colorado River and for our picnic at the Navajo Bridges near Marble Canyon. The sights were amazing. Then they went back home and we headed on to Flagstaff where we explored the downtown a bit and went to the Sweet Shoppe and Nut house.
This was a house made out of rock. Supposedly years ago someone broke down near this area and ended up loving the area and built themselves a place out of rock! There was a store nearby so we took a pit stop and got a drink and let the kids play on the rocks and in the rock house.

Hunter is up there somewhere!

This is near Lees Ferry (the only place for many years where you could access the Colorado River from both sides).
This is where Lees Ferry would cross and it's also where Powell started his Grand Canyon trip back on 2002.

There were so many choices at the Sweet Shoppe and Nut house!

We sampled Gelato, Caramel apples, candy and chocolates.
